Attending University of the Arts Philadelphia (craft department) as a multidisciplinary artist has allowed me to experiment with many different mediums. I left understanding key values in design, production, and consumer value. Being obsessed with all things creative, I decided to make a necklace for a close friend. This was one of the smallest pieces of artwork I've made and I instantly fell in love with the process. The recipient was so happy with the custom piece that she made it her personal goal to show the work to as many people as she could. This began to generate interest around a line of handcrafted jewelry. Before I knew it, requests were pouring in for pieces from friends, acquaintances, and strangers... and thus Stinnys was born. Stinnys first opened its doors for the online retail world in 2012. Learning through a third party vendor was a great growth experience, and it helped propel the business to what it has become today. Over the last year with the help of squarespace, Stinnys has seen an exciting amount of growth and is now reaching a larger audience. As the company keeps moving forward, Stinnys will always create jewelry that follows today's trends but are not defined by them.
